My babies love a poll! And I love the way you think. Last night while drifting off I realized that we’ll probably spend around $500 in just plane fare and hotel before food, rental car, etc etc. For f-ing Waco? Me thinks no. $500 bones is a full dinner at Per Se, 2 plane tickets to Boston (or somewhere else much more fun than Wacko), 1/4 of Mr. S’ Mac laptop, lots of gas, etc. Thanks for your input, ladyfriends!

Bookslut has an AMAZING interview with a guy named Hendrik Hertzberg – he’s the politics writer for the New Yorker, so it may a wee bit liberal for some of you, but with insights like: “The country that elects the most Ben Afflecks is India.” and admitting that he would support the war if it was Clinton’s war, you gotta at least love his honesty.

PROS AND CONS OF THE TOP 20 DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES.

Should Mr. S and I go to my “friend” Tom’s wedding in Waco the first weekend in June?
Pros:
- Some our college buddies might be there whom I haven’t seen since 1999
- Mr. S could see the finery that is Waco, and I could see all the new stuff on campus
- We could stay in Austin and have a great time there
- It’s a cheap place to travel to
- Tex-Mex! Nimfa’s green sauce and Nimfaritas! Austin is f-ing awesome!
Cons:
- Texas in the summer is disgusting
- Tom hurt my feelings with his RSVP “manners” and by choosing to not come to my wedding
- It’s a bit of $ to spend for what will most likely end up being the last time I see Tom
- My relationship with Tom is tenuous, at best
- I met his fiance under extremely weird circumstances and she spelled my name wrong on the invitation (no excuse!)
- It’s just Waco.
- I’ve already been to TX this year
- We should save our money for our NYC trip in the fall
