Icky, yucky Zeitgeist: Underboob. 1, 2. (Or is that 2, 4?)

Pretty cool Transformers costume. It (he?) transforms!

Long Time magazine article about youth ministry. S’posed to be good; I just finished Righteous: Dispatches from the Evangelical Youth Movement So I might be a little jc’ed out. (BTW, the book was great.)

Stream Sufjan’s Xmas album.

Great TV collides: JJ Abrams will be doing an episode of The Office! (Honestly, it’s like setting up my favorite shows on a date!) Is Dwight gonna pee his pants in excitement? I loved it when he asked the intern if he was in the Dharma Initiative the other episode when they were in the barn.

James Frey: get yer shit together already. (That sentence is best expressed in my father-in-law’s voice. I promise.)

20 works of art you should see before you die.

One Step Closer to Male Pill.

A new site that gives your probability of illness.

HowManyofMe.com (3 with my maiden name; 642 married name. Mr. S: 0!)

Ok, you know BugMeNot.com? (If you don’t, you should.) Now there is RetailMeNot.com, for deals etc. Just in time!

All right: does anyone else think Lil Ollie Paris looks like George on Grey’s?

So I am freshly into my 4th decade of life (yep) and my 3rd full year of blogging: that day came and went. Stereogum just got bought out and Whatev’s got a job at vh1, and we’ve all been blogging the same amount of time. Why am I keeping this private again?

Some political ranting: President Bush signed a bill Thursday authorizing 700 miles of new fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border…Seriously. Appeal for Redress. (Who else learned the term “redress” after looking at that link?) Without you, Mr. President, Darfur doesn’t have a prayer. Last, For the first time, women in India have legal protection against abuse in their own homes under a law which came into force yesterday.

Geographical goodies: Safest and most dangerous US Cities. Neighboroo- a must see for information gathering and planning moves. Safest and most dangerous US Cities.

School-related: The value of a college degree. I would be interested in seeing the average salary of those with non-MBA grad degrees.

Food: The president’s ex-chef tells not all, but some. (Dubya doesn’t like green food or wet fish.) What food is in season when here in MN.

Going to the movies: Better Off Dead Camaro Found and Restored. 100 Scariest Movie Scenes. A documentary on my fave vid ever, Tetris. And another tetris link: Tetris Weightlifting.

Ubiquitous religion link: Okay – as much I am a proponent of connecting culture with faith, let’s not EVER use the term “U2 Eucharist” EVER again. Ever.

Crazy ladies: First of all, Mr. S saw Tara Reid on the Today show talking about her mangled boobies and subsequent surgeries, and came away thinking that she’s a nice girl and just misunderstood. Her best acting ever? Damn, girl: Whitney, looking good. I love Tyra with the extra el bees. The CW, not so much.

Games and books: The beginners guide to freelancing. If it’s fame and fortune you’re looking for, don’t bother writing a book. Pop5, a pop culture game by the makers of Cranium. 830 point Scrabble game winner (Ah, QUIXOTRY, of course!).

Anyhoo…it’s a shame about Reese and Ryan: but haven’t they always had the worst body language ever??
