I finished “Eat, Pray, Love”…everyone, please read. Here again is a submission for our phantom book club.

1. Would you buy a Smart Car? I would EXCEPT for our winters. Otherwise, I’d love to.

2. Pizza: do you prefer your toppings to be on top the cheese, or under? I find myself preferring on top.

3. Why must “serious” bikers ride on the road even when there is a path right next to the road (Grand Rounds, River Road, etc.)?

I planted marigolds in my little triangle garden and I am just not happy with them. I think that I will pull them out next year and plant perennials.

Work these days is gawd awful.

Small bits of consolation: I heard someone say “constipation” instead of “consternation”, and then, “I appreciate the SEDIMENT.” Excellent.
My friend Tom in TX is engaged, as of Sunday. As much as a wedding would be a great excuse to show Mr. S the finery (spit diet coke here) of Waco, Tom didn’t come to my wedding and it hurt my feelings. Jury’s out on this one.

I am reading “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert and it’s pretty darn good. I have about 1/3 left and I am hoping it is as good as the first third (which is a whole lot better then the second third). I read thinking, “This is the book I was supposed to write: food, travel, romantic love, spirituality??? Yes please.
