Making My Way in the World Today
Ooh, kids. It’s going to be a long day…by this time tomorrow morning I will be on a plane to the Dominican Republic! How am I going to make it through the day??
You know what I noticed yesterday? That we’re all so PRIVATE. I was in the breakroom yesterday and some guy was talking to his secretary about some files, and he was all curled up and cupped around the phone. Then there was another guy who started talking in the talking-to-my-lovah voice, and he left the room. Look, guys; we don’t know a lick about your files, nor do we know your lovah. It’s not a big deal!
Happy Birthday to the DVD . I hope your pimp NetFlix takes you out to a nice steak dinner. Also, wish a Happy Five-Oh to Tater Tots. I don’t care how old you are, though – stay the heck away from my burrito!

Huge Lake Street news – it’s old, but good to review:
The $142 million redevelopment of the nearly 2 million square foot former Sears building includes 300,000 square feet of corporate office space; an 85,000 square foot global marketplace; 285 rental homes; 52 for-sale homes; a 150 room hotel; a 1,364-stall parking ramp; and a transit hub.
I wish I had thought of these: Celebrity Palindromes.
If, when we return, we see that Minnesota has “expanded,” I will know why…
Where’s Jenell? Waaah!
I will miss blogging and seeing all of you. Stay well!

Pride in the Name of Blog
I do take pride in my “scoop timing.” I love when I see my hotlinks in a publication after I have already posted. Of course I steal from other hot blogs and sites, but the ones that are slow on the draw are more popular and well-known. A short list of sites late to the game include USAToday, NYTimes, Test Pattern on MSNBC.com, and even my dear Salon.com. Let’s catch up here, kids.

Remember last week’s Jay-Z suggestions? Yeah, that’s right.
Which famous poet are you? Yes, i am so so ee cummings don’t mind if i do.
Worst pop songs ever: what are your nominations? Who cares about lyrics; just anything cringe-worthy…personal ties to memories nonwithstanding.
For my fellow addict Mar: Cult of diet coke.
I played with this for about half an hour Monday. Found our neighbor – a Dean lovah – and passed it on to some friends in Texas.
